So you want to become rich, but you have no money...

By: Michael Press

If you're broke and have bad credit, you're probably thinking to yourself "There's no way that im gonna be able to become financially free". If that's the case, then you're correct. If you believe that you can't become rich, then you won't become rich! Simple as that! Instead of saying "There's no way that im gonna be financially free", say "I'm going to become financially free, and there ain't nothing that's gonna stop me!". So, to get this article started, let's start off with a basic fact:

It DOES take money to make money! - You may have heard that it doesn't take money to make money. That's a lie. Some sort of monetary investment is needed in order actually make money in business. But here's the kicker, the money it takes to make money, doesn't have to be your own! Use other people's money (OPM) to help build a path to financial freedom. Start a small, cash-generating business such as a vending machine business by getting a $5,000.00 personal loan from the bank. Or, market a skill that you have to customers, instead of employers. Good at math? Then become a tutor for $25.00 an hour. Like to design websites? Then design websites for local businesses for $700.00 a pop. Bilingual? Become a contracted translator for local businesses. You might be thinking "Well im not supposed to be working for my money, my money is supposed to be working for me!" Well, that's true, but if you're reading this you probably have no money that can work for you. By working for yourself for a while, you can set your own hours, charge whatever you want, and then use the money you make to start more advanced endeavors.

Deciding on what to do with the cash once it has been made is the next step. However, before doing anything, make sure that you aren't doing it blind! Don't go out buying a stock only because you like it's ticker symbol! And please don't buy a home if you don't know what a "mortgage" is or you don't know the difference between a "landlord" and a "tenant". I myself am not involved in real estate yet because I feel that I don't know enough to succeed. I have been reading great real estate books which show me how to get started, how to flip properities, how to manage tenants, etc. Once I feel comfortable about the subject of real estate, that's when I'll get started.
